In the year 2007, His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan issued a federal decree law to establish the National Centre of Meteorology and Seismology. The center is designed to be the best innovative provider of meteorological, seismological, and atmospheric research information among the GCC countries. NCM has become a leading national organization by staying on the path of excellence in its area of sustainable development. For nearly two decades, the UAE, as part of its leadership’s progressive vision, has allocated huge investments towards implementing cloud seeding operations to effectively tackle water scarcity. NCM’s cloud seeding operations demonstrate the importance placed by the UAE on providing sustainable water resources through encouraging research and innovation in water-related technologies.
